Rafting on the Sava Bohinjka

Rafting in Bohinj is done in adventure rafts. These rafts are made for two or three people, so you steer the raft yourselves. The rafting guide, in a kayak, only shows you which side of the river to take.

We start at Hostel Pod Voglom on Lake Bohinj and finish at the take-out near the village of Brod, close to Bohinjska Bistrica. The rafting route is 6 km long. The whole programme takes three and a half hours, of which we paddle for an hour and a half. As the river is graded 1–2, rafting is suitable for beginners and families.
